The Leader's response to the messages from Hezbollah’s Secretary General

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

To my dear, mujahid brother, His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary-General of Hezbollah (may God grant him a long life, strength, and well-being), 
Salam Alaykum and may God’s mercy and blessings be upon you. 
Your message of condolence on the martyrdom of the illustrious Leader of the Islamic Revolution along with the expressions of love and kindness from our mujahid brothers in Hezbollah have reached me.

Without a doubt, steadfastness, resilience, and patience in the face of the most obstinate enemies of the Islamic world — namely the United States and its proxy in the region, the brutal Zionist regime — were some of the most outstanding characteristics of the martyred Leader and Imam. This resistance and perseverance continued throughout the many years of his leadership, and the sacrifices of precious martyrs such as Haj Qasem Soleimani and other senior commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Armed Forces stand as the greatest testament to the correctness of this path.

There is no question that the history of the Islamic Resistance has been filled with struggle, courage, and the pursuit of martyrdom. Before any of the other fighters, the commanders of the Resistance offered their lives on this path, unafraid of any threat. From Martyr Sheikh Ragheb Harb and Sayyid Abbas Mousavi to the beloved martyr, the Master of the Martyrs of the Resistance, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, and Sayyid Hashem Safieddine — all were exemplars on this path and this way.

Your Eminence who has long stood on the frontlines of this blessed Resistance in Lebanon are now leading this movement at this critical, historic juncture. Given the wisdom, intelligence, and courage I know you possess, I am hopeful that you will thwart the plots of the Zionist enemy, shatter their schemes, and once again bring the taste of peace and honor to the dear people of Lebanon.

I once again emphatically declare that the consistent policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, following on the path of Imam Khomeini and the martyred Leader, is to continue supporting the Resistance against the Zionist-US enemy.

I thank you once again for your expressions of solidarity, and I pray for your success and honor as well as that of all our dear mujahid brothers.

May God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you.
