Announcement No. 3 of the Committee for the Commemoration of the Ascension of the Mujahid Martyr Imam, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei (may God sanctify his pure soul)

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

"Among the faithful are men who fulfill what they have pledged to Allah: there are some among them who have fulfilled their pledge, and some of them who still wait, and they have not changed in the least" (Quran, 33:23)

Following the ascension of the supreme religious authority of the Shia world, the wise Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and the standard‑bearer of the Front of Truth and Resistance — the Mujahid Martyr Imam, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei (may God sanctify his pure soul) — the Muslim world is in mourning for the loss of a great man who spent his entire blessed life elevating the Word of Truth, defending Islam, serving the people, and guiding the Islamic Ummah. The martyred Leader, with unwavering faith, sincere struggle, patient steadfastness, and divine insight, always kept high the flag of the independence of beloved Iran, the guidance and dignity of the Islamic Ummah. The name and memory of that unparalleled figure of his era will endure in the history of beloved Iran, the Muslim world, and the hearts of free people everywhere.

The Committee for the Commemoration of the Ascension of the Mujahid Martyr Imam, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei (may God elevate his noble station), while offering its condolences to the blessed presence of the Master of the Age [Imam Mahdi] (may God hasten his noble reappearance), to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei (may his shadow endure), and to all free nations and those devoted to the path of Truth, expresses its deep gratitude and appreciation for the fervent and loyal presence of the divinely raised people of Islamic Iran and all those devoted to Islam and the Islamic Revolution.

Following the previous announcements of this committee and in light of the arrangements that have been made, it is hereby informed to the noble and mourning public that the farewell, funeral, and burial ceremonies for the pure bodies of the martyred mujahid Imam and the members of his family — the honored martyrs Dr. Misbah al‑Huda Baqeri Kani, Sayyida Bushra Hosseini Khamenei, Zahra Haddad Adel, and Zahra Mohammadi Golpayegani (may God be pleased with them all) — will be held as follows:

Saturday, July 4, 2026, and Sunday, July 5, 2026 (corresponding to the 19th and 20th of Muharram): Farewell ceremony at the Imam Khomeini (ra) Mosalla in Tehran

Monday, July 6, 2026 (corresponding to the 21st of Muharram): Funeral procession in Tehran

Tuesday, July 7, 2026 (corresponding to the 22nd of Muharram): Funeral procession in the holy city of Qom

Thursday, July 9, 2026 (corresponding to the 24th of Muharram, the eve of the martyrdom of Imam Sajjad, peace be upon him): Funeral procession in Mashhad and burial at the heavenly shrine of Imam Reza (peace be upon him)

All noble and dear people, free peoples of the world, devotees of the school of Islam, and admirers of Iran are invited to participate in these magnificent ceremonies and bid farewell to the martyred Leader.

Finally, while expressing gratitude for the extensive preparations and planning by the responsible authorities and popular groups for this event, it is emphasized that the primary role in holding these ceremonies belongs to the noble and ever‑present people, as the true owners of this mourning. God willing, a magnificent and unparalleled display of a popular event will be realized.
