Second night of the Muharram mourning ceremonies held beside the Imam Khomeini (ra) Hussainiyah

The second night of the mourning ceremonies for the Master of the Martyrs, Aba Abdillah al-Hussain (pbuh), on the eighth night of Muharram, was held with thousands of people from various walks of life in attendance, next to the Imam Khomeini (ra) Hussainiyah and the site of the heavenly ascension of the martyred Leader of the Revolution, Martyr Ayatollah Khamenei.

During the ceremony, which this year is being held on behalf of Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Sayyid Ahmad Tabatabai delivered a speech on the topic of "how the Front of Faith confronts trials," in which he described the hardships faced on the Front of Truth as a means of elevation.

Stating: "In the divine plan, all human beings, in both their individual and social lives, are subjected to various trials and afflictions in order to test the depth of their faith. Within this framework, the Ashura of Imam Hussain (pbuh) stands at the pinnacle of religion and humanity, for the companions of the Imam faced all forms of trials with patience and insight."

Additionally, Sayyid Majid Banifatemeh recited elegies in mourning for Imam Hussain (pbuh) and the martyrs of Karbala, and performed lamentations in memory of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Martyr Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, and the exalted martyrs of the Second and Third Sacred Defenses.
