The "Second Phase of the Revolution" is a strategic statement that was addressed to the Iranian nation, especially the youth, by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, on February 11, 2019. This statement starts with an overview of Iran’s past, and it ends with a call for and description of building a new Islamic civilization with emphasis on hope, revolutionary action, and vigilance in confronting the enemy’s propaganda. It includes recommendations in seven vital areas: science and research; spirituality and ethics; the economy; justice and the fight against corruption; independence and freedom; national dignity and foreign relations; and lifestyle. The most important responsibility of the Islamic society is to enable human beings to achieve spiritual and divine perfection in the shade of the government and the atmosphere it has created. The goal of such a society is to help human beings worship God.
