The fortieth-day commemoration of the funeral and burial of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution was held at Tehran's Imam Khomeini Mosalla, with a massive turnout of the public, civil and military officials, the heads of the three branches of government, and the children of the martyred Imam in attendance.

People from all walks of life in Tehran attended the ceremony with fervent devotion, honoring the memory of the martyred Imam and reaffirming their commitment to the path and ideals of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution. The gathering, steeped in a spiritually charged atmosphere, featured recitations of verses from the Holy Quran by Quran reciters, who dedicated the blessings of their recitation to the martyred Leader, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, while eulogists of the Ahl al-Bayt (pbuh) performed elegies in his remembrance.

Chants of "Down with USA" and "Death to Israel" resounded throughout the venue, as the crowd, holding placards bearing messages of seeking vengeance, demanded justice for those responsible for the martyrdom of the Imam. "Our covenant with the Imam — vengeance, vengeance" and "Labbayk, O Sayyid Mojtaba" were among the other slogans that echoed through the ceremony.

During the ceremony, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Haj Ali Akbari, the Friday prayer leader of Tehran, stated that "vengeance" is the demand of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the rallying cry of the people's uprising. He emphasized: "Trump must be transferred from the catering truck to the garbage truck, and from the garbage truck, discarded into the dustbin of history."

He highlighted the scholarly, spiritual, and jihadi character of the martyred Imam, noting that he was raised by a father who was a jurist, a Zahid, and a Mujahid, and a mother who was virtuous, learned, devout, and of Alawi lineage — and that he attained the highest ranks on the path of knowledge, spirituality, and jihad.

Haj Ali Akbari further stated that the martyred Imam reached the highest levels of jurisprudential authority and ijtihad, and also attained great spiritual stations through his journey of inner purification and jihadi devotion. By harnessing his God-given talent and brilliance, he adorned his soul with the light of spirituality and piety, and in his pursuit of perfection, he acquired moral virtues at the highest degree.

The Friday prayer leader of Tehran also spoke of the martyred Leader's deep connection with Imam Khomeini (ra), noting: "He succeeded in benefiting from the life-giving spirit, unwavering resolve, greatness of character, and peak of jihad of Imam Khomeini (ra). From the very dawn of his youth, he walked alongside the Imam on the path of struggle."

He added: "The martyred Imam, as the trustee of Imam Khomeini and the Ummah, took on the great trust of divine Wilayat and carried forward the banner of guidance — a banner at the center of which stood the flag of resistance."

The speaker underscored the martyred Imam's 37-year role in guiding the society, stating: "As a jurist who understood and built civilization, he implemented the school of resistance of the great Imam [Khomeini] in the country. Through his prudent and forward-looking approach, he oriented various aspects of the Iranian people's lives along the path of resistance."

The Friday prayer leader of Tehran added: "This path included educational resistance, providing a framework for building resilient individuals to the education system, as well as cultural resistance, through strengthening the faith-based, religious, and national identity of the Iranian people against the enemy's cultural assault."

Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Ali Akbari concluded by emphasizing that the martyred Imam reached the highest peaks in the fields of knowledge and ijtihad, ethics and spiritual wayfaring, as well as patience and jihad — and that he firmly established the path of resistance as a way of dignity and progress for the Iranian nation.
