Tasu'a night mourning ceremony held beside the site of the martyrdom of Martyr Khamenei
The Tasu'a night mourning ceremony was held with thousands of people from various walks of life in attendance, next to the Imam Khomeini (ra) Hussainiyah and the site of the heavenly ascension of the martyred Leader of the Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei.
This year's ceremony, held on behalf of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, included a speech by Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Naser Rafiei. Drawing on the Ziyarah text of Hazrat Abbas (pbuh), he described him as a righteous and obedient servant before the Imam, stating:
"Righteous deeds illuminate a person and make them beloved. As we have all seen, God made a distinguished figure like the martyred Leader of the Revolution, who was a righteous servant, so beloved in the hearts of the people that the nation, out of love and remembrance of him, continues to take to the streets and has disappointed the ill-wishers."
Following this, Meysam Motiee recited elegies in mourning for Hazrat Abbas (pbuh), and the martyrs of Karbala, and performed lamentations in memory of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the exalted martyrs of the Second and Third Sacred Defenses.
