The Algerian writer and journalist, in a speech delivered at the ceremony, recounted how, at twenty-two, he was drawn to Tehran by the image of Imam Khomeini, and how that journey tied his youth to the Islamic Revolution — a sacred uprising that flared up to restore balance to the world, and introduced him to Martyr Khamenei, who was, in his words, a nation unto himself.
